Job Description

As a Foreign Customer Support Assistant at Shinhan Bank Headquarters in Seoul, you will play a key role in promoting banking services to foreign residents in Korea and supporting multilingual customer engagement across branches. Your responsibilities include:

  • Promoting banking products, including deposit services, to foreign clients residing in Korea
  • Providing interpretation and translation services between Korean and foreign languages
  • Conducting telephone consultations in foreign languages to assist with banking inquiries
  • Supporting other branches in handling foreign customer needs and documentation

This is a contract-based, full-time position starting November 1, 2025, with potential renewal until March 2026 based on performance and staffing needs. Working hours are Monday to Thursday and Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (7.5 hours per day including a 1-hour break). Compensation is approximately KRW 18 million for 6 months, excluding performance bonuses. The role includes Korea’s four major insurance plans.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a long-term visa (F2, F4, F5, or F6) and be eligible for employment in Korea
  • Proficiency in Korean and a foreign language (reading and writing)
  • Experience in external promotional activities at a bank or remittance company is preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Office is an asset
