Job Description

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations in a fast-paced quick-service restaurant environment. This role involves supervising food preparation staff, maintaining quality control standards, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety procedures. The supervisor also oversees inventory, scheduling, and customer service, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement methods to meet daily work schedules
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff responsible for food preparation and portioning
  • Train employees in job duties, sanitation protocols, and company policies
  • Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure food and service quality standards are consistently met
  • Address customer complaints and resolve service issues
  • Maintain records of inventory, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit operational reports
  • Create and manage staff work schedules

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Seven months to less than one year of supervisory or food service experience
  • Valid Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise 1 to 2 staff members in a fast-paced environment

Work Conditions

  • On-site employment at 50 King Street S, Alliston, Ontario
  • Full-time, permanent position with 32 to 40 hours per week
  • Morning, day, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts available
  • Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and adaptability
