Job Description

Brand Content Strategy and Culinary Production

Execute the logistical delivery of our brand’s promise by preparing and cooking complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.

Strategically plan menus and estimate all food requirements to ensure a consistent and high-quality dining experience.

Skillfully manage all kitchen operations, serving as the hands-on executor of our critical culinary campaigns.

Culinary Influence and Service Coordination

Act as a key brand ambassador through the plate, representing the facility with unwavering quality in every meal you create.

Coordinate the morning culinary “campaign”—each service—from start to finish, ensuring all dishes are prepared with care and precision.

Directly influence patient satisfaction and well-being by providing delicious and diet-compliant meals in a timely manner.

Kitchen Operations and Equipment Management

Serve as the operational engine of the kitchen, performing all duties required to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

Take complete ownership of the kitchen’s condition by thoroughly inspecting all food service areas to ensure total integrity and safety.

Provide frontline support for service by ordering all necessary supplies and equipment to keep the culinary campaign moving without interruption.

Documentation and Quality Assurance

Develop the primary “advertisement” for our brand—flawless, nourishing meals—backed by meticulous inventory management and record-keeping.

Serve as the final quality control for kitchen resources, maintaining accurate records of all food, supplies, and equipment.

Function as the central hub of logistical information, using inventory data to ensure the kitchen is always well-stocked and ready for service.

Preferred Attributes

Possession of a College/CEGEP education with 7 months to less than 1 year of proven professional cooking experience. Fluency in English or French is required.

Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations, plan menus, and maintain inventory and safety standards.

This role includes comprehensive health benefits, including a dental plan, health care plan, and vision care benefits. Salary is negotiable, ranging from $15.91 to $16.00 per hour.

Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit. The employer will not respond to applications from candidates who are not authorized to work in Canada.
