Job Description

Pizza Delight in Antigonish, Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, staff supervision, and financial performance. This on-site role requires strong leadership, budgeting skills, and a hands-on approach to customer service and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and manage budgets to optimize restaurant profitability
  • Develop cost plans for food, beverages, and operational supplies
  • Monitor daily operations, revenue trends, and labor costs
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 11–15 staff members
  • Set work schedules and conduct performance reviews
  • Maintain inventory and negotiate with suppliers and catering clients
  • Ensure compliance with liquor regulations and food safety standards
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and customer engagement
  • Balance cash, prepare financial reports, and manage POS systems

Qualifications:

  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and point-of-sale systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physical mobility

Work Details:

  • Location: Antigonish, NS (on-site only)
  • Employment Type: Permanent, full-time (35 hours/week)
  • Salary: $18.50–$25.00/hour (negotiable)
  • Shifts: Morning, day, evening, weekend, overtime available
