Job Purpose

The Equipment Inspector ensures the operational efficiency, safety, and compliance of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This involves conducting inspections, performing maintenance checks, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of cranes, bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy machinery.

• Conduct quality control checks and prepare inspection reports.

• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs, coordinating major repairs when needed.

• Monitor compliance with safety protocols and conduct load tests for lifting equipment.

• Educate staff on safety procedures and collaborate with project managers and engineers.

Skills & Experience

• Diploma in a relevant field with 4–6 years of experience as an equipment inspector or similar role.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and knowledge of construction equipment.

• Familiarity with safety regulations and inspection tools/software (e.g., Cat® Inspect).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, in confined spaces, and at heights.
